Let's cut the crap
I design stuff that looks good & works really well.
You know the frustrating feeling, when something looks nice, but it’s sooo hard to work with? Or the other way around: when something does the job real good, but it looks extremely outdated and chunky so you prefer not to use it until you really have no other choice?
Welcome to my world. It’s my job to balance both into awesomeness by combining UX (User Experience design) & UI (User Interface Design). I’m usually the bridge between the development team & the business. I’m focussed on what technology should be, how it should work, and how things should look like.

Creativity as a service
“An idea is only a good idea if you can build it”. I imagine pieces of technology based on what there is & what could be.
Business analysis
Once I know what we’re building, I’m going to analyze the hell out of it and come up with a visual architecture that is rock-solid. Those beloved programmers usually love it!
Wireframing
Some wireframing can come in handy to get all the stakeholders aligned before jumping to design. To be honest: I only use wireframes when the requirements are unclear.
Interface design
Pixels flying around, style guides being supercharged and viewports for a whole bunch of devices. Let’s get sexy. Often requested for quotes, just to show “how things could look like”.
Prototyping
Imagine your product being clickable/tappable while the first line of code still needs to be written. That my friend, is what we call a prototype! You can even use it for user testing.
UX/UI audits
Losing a lot of people in your order pipeline? Is your site not converting? Getting a lot of phone calls by people that can’t find what they’re looking for? Sounds familiar? Let’s talk…
I’m mostly active in these sectors
E-commerce Frictionless design = happy customers
Digital platforms / SAAS Good architecture = enthusiastic users
Industrious / HMI Machine + human = smooth operators
Meet the team
Colleagues are overrated
What can I say? I’m happily flying solo, which makes me crazy flexible and easy to plugin in any team. I usually combine multiple assignments, so don’t hesitate to get in touch to learn about my current availability.
I learned my stuff by doing. For 10+ years I’ve been active as a digital designer in various sectors. Some UX training in London and Amsterdam got me the following fancy sticker, but don’t worry: I’m the kinda guy that rolls up his sleeves and builds stuff. Don’t expect me to hang up post-its all day… :-)
Speciality
Mobile & multi-channel UX
It’s not about what you do, it’s about how you do it.
The market is oversaturated with digital solutions, and for every problem you have like 5 different platforms that could help you out, doing all the same thing.
Which one will you use?
The cheapest maybe? Or the one that looks nicest at first.
Which one will you keep on using & recommend to your colleagues or family?
The one that does what it needs to do, and gives you an awesome experience in the process.
Some awesome brands I’ve proudly designed for…
Don’t take my word for it.
